2019 All-American Bowl Roster Update Two - Featuring Jim Kelly, Steve Young & Starting East All-American QBRead Now
2019 ALL AMERICAN BOWL
The 2019 All-American Bowl is an educational event, as well as an All Star football game, as our football knowledge comes from studying the legends of the game like Coach Steve Spurrier. We also are going to talk more about the run & shoot offense that the legendary head coach of the Houston Gamblers developed, as Mouse Davis helped mold Jim Kelly into one of the most dynamic passers in NFL history. Downloadable PDF file can be found below, as Hawaii is not the creator of the Run & Shoot offense, as most people think in College Football Today.
STEVE YOUNG JIM KELLY
Steve Young and Jim Kelly faced off in what was labeled by Sports Illustrated " The Greatest Game No One Saw". This matchup featured the Los Angeles Express vs The Houston Gamblers, who were out to prove that they were the elite men in all of American football today.
Below you will find one of the most prolific offenses performances ever in a football contest, when offenses were not nearly as active, as these two soon to be NFL Hall Of Famers put up over 900 yards of offense on February 24, 1985.
ALL AMERICAN BOWL 2019 COACHES
All-American Bowl 2019 coaches run many of the same concepts that were used in the big USFL win for Jim Kelly and Houston gamblers. I found a old LA Times article, which is featured below on how the final outcome of this epic All-American game in the USFL ended, as Jim Kelly proved he could overcome any adversity set forth by man. He has shown he can still overcome adversity by battling cancer and becoming cancer free in the process. We must always remember to keep the hope alive for everyone involved in the daily processes of life and football, as all is never lost if we seek to overcome the barriers in our way.
"That's right, Houston beat the Express, 34-33, in a game the United States Football League can be proud of.
Kelly, the USFL's MVP last season, threw three touchdown passes in the last 10 minutes, the last a 39-yarder to Ricky Sanders with 1:18 left to give the Gamblers the win.
Kelly, who passed for 44 touchdowns and 5,219 yards last season, completed 35 of 54 passes for 574 yards and 5 touchdowns Sunday. In this game, he passed for more yardage than any quarterback in U.S. professional football history. His 574 yards was 20 more than the NFL record of 554 set by the L.A. Rams' Norm Van Brocklin in 1951. Only Sam Etcheverry of the Canadian Football League has passed for more yards. He threw for 586 yards while with Montreal in a game in 1954.
Express players have been forced to handle adversity, i.e., no owner, no marketing, no fans, no radio station, but no way could they handle what Kelly was throwing at them Sunday.
Luckily for the Express, Kelly and his pass-happy run-and-shoot offense committed five turnovers. Otherwise, the score could have been in the 60s."
2019 ALL AMERICAN QUARTERBACKS
Our Three 2019 All-American Quarterbacks are very diverse in their skill sets and the starting Quarterback has been named for Team East in Top 2019 Quarterback recruit Tanner Rickle. When I watch how Tanner throws the football in the pocket or on the run, it is very scary the resemblance you see in him and NFL Hall Of Fame Genius Steve Young. Tanner is my College Football Today High School Quarterback Of The Year not just because he has eye-popping numbers, but because he has shown the resiliency needed in the process of overcoming any adversity in his path. After being deemed the Top 2019 QB in the nation, Tanner went down mid season and was on track to shatter national passing records. Even after the injury, Tanner kept working and started to receive offers, as his film is arguably the best I have watched year in and year out.
ALL AMERICAN QUARTERBACK EAST
When I watch the way the starting All-American Quarterback for Team East orchestrates an offense, I am reminded of one of the most educated men in football, Steve Young. The man could honestly do anything he set his mind to and so can our 2019 High School All-American Quarterback Tanner Rickle out of Findlay High School, Ohio. I have never been more impressed with a skill set at the Quarterback position in my now 10 years of coaching high caliber athletes at this position and Tanner has justly received four offers thus far for his services at the next level. I preach daily it does not matter what cards we are dealt, but how we play them and no matter where this talented 2019 All-American Quarterback decides to play, he will be dominating Quarterback with outstanding leadership qualities that only the best possess in this game like Mr. Steve Young.
2019 ALL AMERICAN RECEIVERS
The 2019 All-American receivers that Tanner Rickle will be throwing the football to are also brilliant in their own right and we will be highlighting all of them in our next update, as well as our 2019 All-American Running Back recruits who Rickle will be working with at the 2019 College Football Today All-American Bowl at Alfred J. Loos Sports Complex in Addison,TX. Players like 4.5 GPA All-American Wide Receiver recruit Kyle Benedict and Anthony Jackson, who is coached by legendary Oklahoma Wide Receiver Antwone Savage at Westover High School. Cayden Doub is an electric slot receiver in his own right and a brilliant route runner, so we should be expecting a shootout with some of the best backs found this year on the east coast! These 2019 All-American recruits will be featured next at College Football Today All-American Bowl promotional campaign and much more, as we inch closer to the 2019 East vs West - Battle Of The Best, All American Bowl!
