COMBINE WINNERS AND LOSERS
The NFL Combine winners and losers were clearly visible thus far and Andy Isabella out of UMASS, who was our College Football Today Receiver Of The Year, ran a 4.31,40 officially yesterday. This should solidify Andy in being selected in the late first to early second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Written 3/3/2019 Coach Trout
MONTEZ SWEAT DRAFT PROJECTION
I have been very high on Montez Sweat on his draft projection from the start of the 2018 college football season, after evaluating his play as a Edge rusher. Hailing from Mississippi State, Montez was able to run a 4.41,40 yard dash, which has certainly increased his overall 2019 NFL Draft stock. We now have Montez Sweat going number four overall to the Oakland Raiders. Take a look below at the 2019 NFL Draft Edge Rushers & DL 40 times below that were 5.0 seconds or under at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. Some NFL Draft prospects have their bench press numbers next to their 40 times, as not all prospects tested in all events. Pages are being added for the rest of the NFL Scouting Combine tonight at College Football Today.
POST COMBINE MOCK DRAFT
Our post combine mock draft update has started and we have been moving NFL prospects in and out of slots, as more information is accumulated. We believe, as do other Kyler Murray will be the taken by Coach Kliff Kingsbury and the Arizona Cardinals, so where does that leave most of the general media's consensus overall number one pick Nick Bosa? In my opinion, Bosa is more of a strong side DE, rather then a pass rusher at the NFL level. I believe players like Montez Sweat visibly were able to pass him up at the NFL Senior Bowl and after both of their performances today, I believe Bosa slides to number 7 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bosa ran a 4.79 and was able to throw up 29 reps on the 225LB bench press testing. I have never stated that Nick is a bad football player, just have seen better in this years 2019 NFL Draft.
Ben Bur-Kirven won our College Football Today Defensive Player Of The Year Award and was able to have a extremely solid day today at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. Ben was able to run a 4.56, 40 yard dash and 21 reps on bench press testing. I right now have Bur-Kirven heading to the Los Angeles Chargers, who hold the 28th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. After we add all combine testing numbers at College Football Today, we will be rankings our 2019 Top NFL Draft prospects by position this coming week.
