ALABAMA VS OKLAHOMA 2018 ORANGE BOWL![]() The College Football Playoff match-up between the Alabama Crimson-Tide and the Oklahoma Sooners will be played tonight on ESPN, right after the Cotton Bowl is completed at 6:00 PM. Trevor Lawrence looks to complete his run for College Football Today Freshmen Of The Year with a big win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who have been outstanding defensively this season for the Notre Dame faithful. Right now the score is in favor of the Clemson Tigers by over three scores and it appears that they will be advancing to play the winner of tonight's 2018 Capital One Orange Bowl match-up between Oklahoma and Alabama. Let's take a look back at how we predicted the 2018 Heisman trophy first below and then talk about tonight's match-up, along with the 2013 game, where Oklahoma reigned victorious. ALABAMA VS OKLAHOMA HEISMAN TROPHY![]() Who won The 2018 Heisman Trophy? Kyler Murray of The Oklahoma Sooners has won the 2018 Heisman Trophy and his stats are compared to 2017 Heisman Trophy Winner Baker Mayfield. Baker Mayfield's 2017-2018 College Stats are compared below to Kyler Murray's 2018 College stats through 13 games, where Baker Mayfield has his stats reflected through 14 games.
OKLAHOMA VS ALABAMA 2013Oklahoma vs Alabama in the 2013-14 Sugar Bowl was in favor of the Oklahoma Sooners, as Trevor Knight threw for 348 yards and 4 touchdowns to beat the Crimson Tide by a score of 45-31. This game is very similar when you look at the match-up, but inserting the Heisman Trophy Winner and the runner-up, will make this game that much better in terms of passing the eye test for a legendary College Football Playoff match-up. I picked the Sooners to win this game in dramatic fashion over Alabama by a score of 45-42 because Kyler Murray is the best player arguably in College Football history. He will be paid more then any NFL player, to play in Major League Baseball and could pass for a different kind of Bo Jackson in the future. That being said, Alabama has been the favorite in Vegas since the start of the season, so I believe everyone who bet on Alabama is about to lose some money in the 2018 College Football Playoff Semifinal. CFP SEMIFINALSBelow we introduced how our CFP Semifinals would have looked this year at College Football Today. With the constant debate for a 8 team College Football Playoff, we believe this outcome would have not only generated more revenue for all parties involved, but also pleased our beloved College Football fans. Who would be in the College Football Playoff in our College Football Today 8 Team CFP format. SEC Championship - #1 Alabama vs #5 Georgia Big Ten Championship - #22 NorthWestern vs #6 Ohio St ACC Championship - #2 Clemson vs #23 Pitt Big 12 Championship - #7 Oklahoma vs #15 Texas PAC-12 Championship - #8 Washington vs #19 Utah Wow, so we would automatically have Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Washington in the College Football 8 Team Playoff as automatic Power 5 Conference winning bids for the right to compete in the CFP. The remaining three teams are now very visibly easy to mostly everyone involved with this selection process and they would be as follows: Notre Dame, Georgia and UCF. The winning streak UCF has been able to produce has been quite fun to watch and they were able to complete yet another undefeated season in the American Conference. Many would argue for others for that remaining 8th ranking in the College Football Playoff, but their overall body of work would then be much harder to look past. 1. Alabama vs Washington 2. Clemson vs UCF 3. Notre Dame vs Ohio State 4. Oklahoma vs Georgia COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAYCollege Football Today will be releasing our 2018 Cotton Bowl Clemson Tigers Championship gear very shortly, as it appears the Clemson Tigers will be the 2018 Cotton Bowl College Football Playoff Semifinals champions! They will await the winner of tonight's Oklahoma vs Alabama Orange Bowl College Football Playoff Semifinal to see who they will face for the 2019 College Football National Championship.
