COLORADO FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Colorado football recruiting has landed the Top Defensive Tackle at College Football Today and 5th overall recruit in our 2019 Top 300 CFB recruits. Having studied Lloyd Murray and his entire family come to find out for the past three years, I am extremely excited for the opportunity that Mr.Murray will have here in beautiful Colorado. With our office and home location is only 45 minutes from The University of Colorado, we will be following the journey of our 5-star recruit for years to come at College Football Today. The Colorado defense will get a immense push up front from this 3-4 Nose Tackle, that was labeled the trench monster at the end of his sophomore year and a offer from TCU was able to propel what we think is the next Casey Hampton onto National prominence. Lloyd then was able to pile up offers from many top tier programs like the University of Alabama and even had once committed to Ole Miss. But, Murray saw something he liked up here in the rockies and we believe he made the right choice in furthering his bright future in the world of College Football Today.
COLORADO BUFFALOES FOOTBALL
The PAC-12 Colorado Buffaloes football team had a very fast start to the 2018 CFB season in going 5-0 and then the inability to adapt ended in 7 straight losses for the Colorado Buffs football program. This finally got Coach MacIntyre out the door and holding clip boards at Ole Miss, as his record certainly reflects the way he conducted business for the Colorado Buffaloes football team. With Mel Tucker coming over from UGA, he looks to bring the physicality of an SEC defensive front to the PAC-12 with the Colorado Buffs. This is a big reason that scoring a Nose Tackle like Murray will prove to be one of the biggest signings in CU Buffs football history.
MEL TUCKER COLORADO
Mel Tucker was a defensive back for Colorado back in his playing days and pretty much has done everything except be a Head Coach in modern day American Football. He also has never coached in this region of the United States, which I don't see why this matters, as he obviously is a master at recruiting after spending years with some of the best coaches in College Football Today. I really do not blame the defense for the Colorado Buffaloes last year, as they created turnovers and played solid football overall. It really came down to the inability to adapt offensively, just as the West Virginia Mountaineers failed to do with Geno Smith and Tavon Austin. If you remember correctly, the Mountaineers were the greatest show on turf until their high scoring offense was diagnosed and taken down by defensive geniuses across the nation. After starting 5-0 and people screaming national title in Morgantown, WV, it turned into a 0-7 finish to end the Mountaineers football season. The same concepts are very easy to shutdown in the run and shoot system, except if you run these tactics in the Super Bowl with Julian Edelman, then you leave all of the skill players options open and you can easily see the results.
COLORADO STATE FOOTBALL
If you need something to laugh about, Colorado State football is now the punch line of every bar joke and Coach Mike Bobo is now known as Bobo the clown here in Fort Collins, CO. Every article you read is demoralizing to not only Bobo himself, but the Colorado State football program in its entirety. It begs the question, do you even want a football team in the first place? After attending a beautiful brand new stadium to watch the Utah State game, I realized the severe lack of stability in the Colorado State football program from top to bottom. It actually scared me that this was actually how not just a coach ran a football program, but a entire community, as I do not think they want football here in Fort Collins, CO to be completely honest. So, imagine being a recruit out of Georgia who was sold a dream of playing at this expensive stadium, who is now severely let down, as the morality of this group is extremely low.
COACH MIKE BOBO
The fans that wanna see Coach Mike Bobo hit the road often point out the fact it would have taken a enormous buy out this season to do so. They also like to throw salt in the teams wounds week in and week out, while pointing out many non football related instances. If any of you took the helm of Colorado State you would not win a football game with that team they had this year. They were very sloppy up front in terms of being in shape, which is no excuse up here at 6,000 feet. They had Quarterback issues from day one and I never believed in any of them from the start. The staff refuses to step out of the same recruiting regions, because that is all they know and well, you get top recruits like Gary Osby hardly ever after being the first to offer. If you do not change the dynamics quickly, all will be lost and another coach will have to come in and clean up the mess you created as a unit. The newspapers, the ignorant people who like to throw stones and know absolutely nothing about how this game works need to stay in the shadows where they belong. Mike Bobo has one last shot at redemption and the question is, can he at least get Colorado State to a bowl game in 2019 and begin to flip the narrative that has been created in a town supposed to be about positivity and growth.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL RECRUITING NEWS
College Football recruiting news featured on 247 Sports Bama and some more Top Recruit signings at College Football Today.
From reading this article by 247 Sports Bama, we now know that mostly everyone's data at major media companies is coming from teenagers and some 18 year olds. That being said, parents may mistake letters or interactions as actual offers or commitments when in all sincerity, that recruit is further down on their recruiting board and they are waiting to see if so and so is going to commit to their program. Which ultimately creates a waiting game for recruits either identified late or are further down on the recruiting boards.
College coaches largely can't speak on recruiting, so much of the media is going on conversations had with 16, 17 and 18-year-old kids during the courting process. Letters are sometimes confused with offers. 'We like you'-type interactions can be misconstrued as invitations to commit. If a respected high school coach who comes in contact with college assistants daily is telling us to believe a quarter of what you hear on the offer table, it's time to listen. Recruiting is about fit and realistic scenarios in terms of adding a coveted player to your roster. Yes, offers are freely handed out, but only to those elite-level players — the 1 percent.
