CFB TODAY ROSE BOWL PARADE 2021
It's time to begin the virtual CFB Today Rose Bowl parade to kick of the 2021 New Year and given that I had very little rest from some truly legendary ghosts of Rose Bowl pasts keeping me up all night, the 2021 CFB Today Rose Parade will probably last all day long.
The CFB Today 2021 Rose Parade features CFB Today Rose Bowl news & Rose Bowl Most Valuable Players throughout the history of the prestigious Rose Bowl game!
2021 ROSE BOWL CFP SEMIFINAL
The day has come for the 2021 Rose Bowl CFP Semifinal & the 2021 Sugar Bowl CFP Semifinal, as the legendary ghosts from the Rose Bowl, CFB Playoff and BCS National Championship pasts are eager to see who will play on January 11th, 2021 for the CFB Playoff National Championship in Miami, Florida.
I got a visit last night from the legendary four horsemen of Notre Dame and Harry Stuhldreher, Don Miller, Jim Crowley and Elmer Layden wanted something special for only the second Rose Bowl appearance in Fighting-Irish history. Crowley was very adamant that he was sick and tired of looking at all of these black & white photos of Coach Knute Rockne's stable of horses in the Notre Dame backfield. Stuhdreher kept asking me to to Google search his highlight's to get an evaluation for the NFL and Layden kept asking where the team bus was because the four horsemen didn't want to be late to the 2021 Rose Bowl CFP Semifinal match-up against Alabama. But Don Miller surely had some wits about him, as he instructed me to put them on the Rose Bowl playing surface by any means possible and assured it would secure a Fighting-Irish victory. We ended having a great conversation about the 20 to 7 victory over the Stanford Cardinals in the 1925 Rose Bowl game and the four left left very pleased with the final College Football Today 2021 Rose Bowl CFP Semifinal presentation of the legendary four horsemen. The Fighting-Irish are 1 & 0 in the Rose Bowl game and Ian Book, Kyren Williams, Chris Tyree & Javon McKinley will look to harness the power of the four horsemen of Notre Dame against the juggernaut Alabama Crimson-Tide.
ALABAMA ROSE BOWL
This will be the 7th Rose Bowl for the Alabama Crimson-Tide and they have won four out of their six Rose Bowl appearances, but have not played in a Rose Bowl game since 1946. The powers that be did not send any ghosts from the past on New Year's Eve my way, but instead had old Alabama Rose Bowl game programs mailed via postcards from 1926, 1927, 1931, 1935, 1938 & 1946 and made sure to include some newspaper clippings that featured some of the results.
They left a sticky note on the inside stating "we do not believe in luck, but rather hard work and will be claiming our 5th Rose Bowl Championship Trophy, as well our 18th National Championship Trophy". To say the Crimson-Tide are extremely confident heading into the 2021 Rose Bowl CFP Semifinal game with Notre Dame is an understatement, as the three swordsman Mac Jones, Devonta Smith and Najee Harris are anticipating knifing their way through the Fighting-Irish defense for four quarters. The three swordsman have been able to dice their way through extremely stout SEC defenses for a total of 6,512 yards of offensive production, which also accounts for Mac's 3,739 passing and we could dub them the four Crimson Horsemen. Given that Metchie is only a Sophomore and will take the leading role as the Crimson-Tide's number one receiver in 2021, we can wait to add him to such a prestigious clan of potential 1st round NFL Draft picks.
2000 ROSE BOWL GAME
Ron Dayne won back to back Rose Bowl game MVP Awards in the 1999 & 2000 Rose Bowl game. Dayne went on to win the Heisman Trophy in 1999 and is arguably the best running back to ever play in the prestigious Rose Bowl game! The Wisconsin bruising downhill running back still holds the NCAA All-Time rushing record with 7,125 yards!
UW ROSE BOWL MVP'S
The College Football Today Virtual Rose Parade UW Rose Bowl MVP's float features 2001 Rose Bowl MVP Marques Tuiasosopo, 1992 UW Rose Bowl MVP's Steve Emtman & Billy Joe Hobert, 1991 UW Rose Bowl MVP Mark Brunnell, 1982 UW Husky Rose Bowl MVP Jacque Robinson & 1978 UW Husky Rose Bowl MVP Warren Moon!
ROSE BOWL CHAMPIONS
The list of Rose Bowl Champions includes two Ivy League college football programs and Harvard & Columbia have both hoisted the coveted Rose Bowl Trophy. Harvard was able to beat Oregon in a four quarter leather helmet brawl by a score of 7 to 6 in the 1920 Rose Bowl game and Columbia was able to topple heavily favored Stanford in 1934 in what is know as the biggest upset in the history of the presigious Rose Bowl game!
