When it came to play at both the nose and defensive tackle position, I have not seen many with the repertoire of finesse & power moves like Desmond Watson of Seffner High School in Florida. Watson is able to create an instant push off the snap of the football with his bull rush and has arguably the best swim move in the 2021 recruiting class. Desmond uses open hand punches extremely well while detaching from blockers and is able to keep separation while locating the ball carrier. It takes a small army to keep him from creating penetration in the backfield and thus far, Watson is the most dominating class of 2021 football recruit in the trenches at College Football Today.

TOP NOSE TACKLES

When it comes to top nose tackles in the 2020 NFL Draft, Auburn's Derrick Brown will be a top 10 selection in this year's Draft and Desmond Watson mimics many of the same attributes at the nose tackle position. Both players possess the ability to collapse the pocket, while being able to beat double teams with their extraordinary strength and active hands. As of today, Watson stands 6'6,335 pounds and he has the raw athletics to one day be just as good or better than 2020 NFL Draft 1st RD Nose Tackle Derrick Brown. Brown checked in at 6'5,317 pounds at the NFL Combine and could be the most dominant prospect on the defensive side of the football in the 2020 NFL Draft. While Watson is a tad bit heavier, we project him to get much faster and leaner in a power five weight lifting/fitness program, which will be a scary sight for offenses across the world of College Football Today.
